Don't judge a book by it's cover.
You smile not because you know the world is a safe place or that life is good. Sometimes the hardest lives are lived by those who carry a smile on their face and peace in their hearts as the storms of life carry on.

Found in Him
But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which isfrom the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith; 10 that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death, 11 if, by any means, I may attain to the resurrection from the dead.
Philippians 3:7-11
Heard a great sermon today that really dove deep into the inner trenches of my heart and grasped me good. To know God, in the fellowship of His sufferings, in the power of His resurrection. 2014 prayer.

Dear _______,
I haven't been blogging much about my personal life as of late because of all the eyes that have been on me. Or so, that I feel are on me.
Does anyone, other than my future self even read this blog? I have a hard time of letting this blog go because of all the time that's lapsed from recording daily to monthly to yearly blogs. About life and death, the new and the old, the past and the future. There's so much of myself embossed in this blog it's hard to shut it down and start anew.
In the earlier years of this blog I was ecstatic than the norm to have my mind and words scripted on these pages but now as I have gotten older and (a little bit) more wiser, I'm coming to see that life is a lot more easier living discreetly. Less time in the web and more time living. I think that's why once i get married and have kids, although I do see a lot of moms posting on FB every/single/day, shout out to moms! I think I probably would do the same, although I was gonna post that I would enjoy life a lot more off the screen but I guess with kids and a family it's hard not to want to share how exciting life has become. I guess what I'm trying to say is that my life has been pretty boring lately. I don't go out much, I don't socialize as much as I once did and now most days have become such a routine. You'll know exactly where I am at the same hour of the days. Day after day. Week after week. Month after month. I'm usually home, if not, at work. All the filler times I'm talking on FaceTime with my long distance boyfriend or enjoying mollie (my chihuahua)'s company. She's calmed down quite a bit and she is doing well! As you can see below.
It will be our 2nd anniversary together this year, in a couple of months. And at the same time, I will be celebrating 9 months with my love this month. Just in time for Valentine's day. Nothing new. No exciting news as of yet but I'm hoping that with this new year brings fresh new beginnings :-)
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
Lamentations 3:22-23
I'm praying that this new year brings new insights, new growths and new life.

Romance
"What great gravity is this that drew my heart towards yours? What great force collapsed my orbit, my lonesome state? What is this that wants in me the want in you? Don't we go at each other with yielded eyes, with cumbered hands and feet, with clunky tongues? This deed is unattainable! We cannot know each other!
I am quitting this thing, but not what you think. I am not going away.
I will give you this, my love, and I will not bargain or barter any longer. I will love you, as sure as He has loved me. I will discover what I can discover and though you remain a mystery, save God's own knowledge, what I disclose of you I will keep in the warmest chamber of my heart, the very chamber where God has stowed Himseld in me. And I will do this to my death, and to death it may bring me.
I will love you like God, because of God, mighted by the power of God. I will stop expecting your love, demanding your love, trading for your love, gaming for your love. I will simply love. I am giving myself to you, and tomorrow I will do it again. I suppose the clock itself will wear thin it's time before I am ended at this altar of dying and dying again.
God risked Himself on me. I will risk myself on you. And together, we will learn to love, and perhaps then, and only then, understand this gravity that drew Him, unto us."
