Because Your Cross

has placed in me my worth...

StarField

I can't explain
This kind of love
I'm humbled and amazed
That You'd come down
From heavens heights

And greet me face to face

And I know I'm weak
I know I'm unworthy
To call upon Your name
But because of grace
Because of Your mercy

I stand here unashamed

Sometimes I come across some worship songs that I listen to either on the radio or when i'm on youtubesies. There are times when I listen to a song and the words being sung strikes the core of my heart. It either speaks TO me or ABOUT me and the state of my heart towards God. When I came upon this song above, it hit home. Especially when he says, "I'm humbled and amazed, that you'd come down from heavens heights and greet me face to face." The more that I seek after God, the more I see my own self-reflection.. how tainted, sinful, imperfect and broken I really am. But that much more I'm so grateful because God sees me much more differently than I see myself. He accepts my filth, my sins, imperfections and my broken-ness and looks past those but instead looks straight into my heart. There really is no greater love than this..

Oh how I long for the Day

One day I'll see you coming back for me
And all together we'll fly away
One day I'll hear that trumpet loud and clear

And all together we'll fly away
O how I long for the day
When we'll fly away

Don't ask me why I keep starin' at the sky
It's just I'm lost in anticipation

Words of Affrmation

goes a long way for me!

It really comes as astounding to me when I really objectively take a look not only at myself but at those around me, that everyone is beautifully and wonderfully made so differently. Everyone has a way that they need to be loved in order for them to feel security and comfort. As for me, I have just come to realize how just a few words of encouragement very much so goes a long way!

Mark Twain once said “I can live for two months on a good compliment.” Verbal appreciation speaks powerfully to persons whose primary Love Language is “Words of... Affirmation.” Simple statements, such as, “You look great in that suit,” or “You must be the best baker in the world! I love your oatmeal cookies,” are sometimes all a person needs to hear to feel loved. Aside from verbal compliments, another way to communicate through “Words of Affirmation” is to offer encouragement. Here are some examples: reinforcing a difficult decision; calling attention to progress made on a current project; acknowledging a person’s unique perspective on an important topic. If a loved one listens for “Words of Affirmation,” offering encouragement will help him or her to overcome insecurities and develop greater confidence.

For us to Live..

a sacrifice was made.. for you and me

As you watch this video may you just remember the meaning of the gospel once again. The true heart of God, our Father, and the sacrifice that had to be made, for you and for me to enter into heaven..

Will you accept the sacrifice, or let it pass you by?

Does God Exist?

God did not create Evil
Evil is the result of what happens
when man does not have God's Love present in his heart..

Amazing Grace

-Chris Tomlin

My chains are gone
I've been set free
My God, my Savior has ransomed me
And like a flood His mercy rains
Unending love, Amazing grace

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures

Dear Friends,

I urge you, as aliens and strangers in the world, to abstain from sinful desires, which war against your soul. Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and GLORIFY GOD on the day he visits us. (1:11&12)

For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do- living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry. They think it strange that you do not plunge with them into the same flood of dissipation, and they heap abuse on you. But they will have to give account to him who is ready to judge the living and the dead. (4:3,4,5)

The end of all things is near. Therefore be clear minded and self-controlled so that you can pray. Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers a multitude of sins.. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in it's various forms. (4:7,8,10)

1 Peter
