A Psalm 31 Prayer

I have become like broken pottery.
My eyes grow weak with sorrow,
my soul and body with grief.
My life is consumed by anguish,
my strength fails, my bones grow weak.
I am the utter contempt of my neighbors;
I am a dread to my friends-
those who see me on the street flee from me.
I am forgotten by them as though I were dead.

But I trust in You, My God and Savior.
Free me from the trap that is set before me,
for You are my refuge.
Turn Your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue;
be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.
I will be glad & rejoice in Your love,
for you saw me and know the anguish of my soul.
Let Your face shine on me,
save me in Your unfailing love.

Praise be to the Lord,
for I know He will show His wonderful love to me..
