"If you could have heaven, with no sickness, and with all the friends you ever had on earth, and all the food you ever liked, and all the leisure activities you ever enjoyed, and all the natural beauties you ever saw, all the physical pleasures you ever tasted, and no human conflict or any natural disasters, could you be satisfied with heaven, if Christ was not there?"
— John Piper
Oh man, hearing this quote blew me away! I mean, whenever I imagine heaven, I just can't seem to fathom heaven without God, heaven without Jesus, heaven without worshiping God? That's just NOT heaven to me. It's not something I'd want for eternity. I could have all the things this world can offer me but to not have Jesus, everything is so meaningless and such vanity as it speaks of in Ecclesiastes.
Turn up the heat, no more luke-warm Christians!
But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life,
and only a few find it.
